Wednesday 25th May

Our group is still unorganized we don't really have an idea in concrete which is not good. I think i have messed the dates up on my blog because i have not missed an entry. Can't really correct it now as im not sure exactly what happened on what date. Got my assignment back today got 11/20 which was marked wrong i actually got 13/20 because the counting was down wrong. will get it changed next week. We discussed ethics and did a presentation on how our company will follow a ethical guideline. This went well because we got everything organized beforehand.

Wednesday 18 May Lesson 7

Today we discussed about the treaty of waitangi my first though was boring done this for years and years through out school. It actually ended up quite interesting because had a lot to discuss and every one had different opinions about it. Our group is not very organised any more because we are changing our topic because we don't know enough about hybrid vehicles and there is not any original ideas available. Our presentation went well everyone seems to be getting more confident with their presentations. We really need to get our group topic sorted as we are running out of time.

Wednesday 4th May

Today i had my seventh class of comm, Health and safety and problem solving. We didn't achieve very much today because we just handed our assignments in and got told how to present our posters. This was good because we can now start planning our poster. In my group we discussed more in depth about our ideas and how to present them. We have finally finalized our idea. which is hybrid parts.

Wednesday 13 April.

Today i had my sixth class of comm, Health and safety and problem solving. Today we discussed health and safety issues concerning our business "hybrid solutions. Was a bit boring learning about the health and safety act 1992. We set up our company's health and safety policy's and also sketched the layout of our workshop. We didnt have to do our presentations as jonos laptop presentation program was to new for the unitec computer. I didn't mind not doing the presentation. All the work we have done is coming together now for our group portfolio.

APPT 5110 6/4/2011

Today i had my fifth class of comm, Health and safety and problem solving. Today i missed half the start of the class because traffic was really bad. I missed out on quite a few important bits of information which was a bit annoying. Today we discussed sustainability which includes a social, Environmental, Economic and Governance aspects. We related these aspects to our project. Our group finalized our name and logo. The name is hybrid solutions and the logo is a green car. We then presented those aspects that relate to our project to the rest of the class. We presented with a power point made at the last minute apart from that the rest of the presentation went smoothly.

APPT 5110 30/03/2011

Today i had my fourth class of comm, Health and safety and problem solving. I found out the firsts assignment due date. Which means i will have to get motivated. We discussed what our group project/portfolio was going to be about.Our project is on hybrid vehicles. The discussion went well. We had another member join our group. This made the workload a little bit easier. Then we had a library introduction course. That went alright was a bit boring as I already knew most of what was told. Next was the referencing course which was good because i learned how to properly reference. Now I can start assignments from all my classes.

APPT 5110 23/03/2011

Today i had my third class of COMM, Health and safety and problem solving. Today we discussed communication, the importance of customer service and problems business can face with employees and customers.I learned a few new things about the meaning of communication and problems many people face. We then presented our findings with the rest of the group. That went average as i don't think we were adequately prepared. For the next time will have to write more notes/key points on our papers. To achieve a better presentation. Should get better with more practice.
